About Me
Hi there! My name is Nandita. Welcome to Flavors and Aromas, my first attempt at a food blog.
Though I have taken up food blogging, for most of my life I have never been a foodie. In fact, I used to have very particular preferences about food (mainly Indian) and was never willing to experiment with different cuisines. But in the last few years, I have been introduced to an altogether new world of food, courtesy my brother and husband. It took time, but now I can proudly say I have grown to love a wide variety of cuisines, notably Italian, Mediterranean, Spanish, Mexican, Chinese, Middle Eastern, American, Thai and needless to say Indian food.
Since I have always loved the creative side of things, my new-found love for food kindled in me a love for cooking. And this love has slowly grown into a passion because of the two most important people in my life who are total foodies, my husband and my brother.
Though I work in an IT firm, I would love to be a part of a creative field someday. I love to play & watch sports (mainly tennis & cricket), I love to travel to new places, love reading fiction books, love dancing, love nature, love to sleep, music is my lifeline and though I have always loved photography, with the support of my husband, I am encouraging the budding photographer in me. And someday, I might even take it up as a profession.
So here I am, trying to combine two of my passions on this website, photography and cooking. I never believe in perfection so whatever I do, is just straight from my heart and is always evolving… growing 🙂
A little about me: I was born and brought up in Indore (MP, India) where I spent most of my life under the protective shelter of my family. I stepped out of my comfort zone for the first time when I moved to Pune to pursue my post graduation and since then, I have been out on a non-stop adventure exploring myself. I fell in love with Mumbai when I moved there for my job. There, I met my future husband and married him after a courtship of 4 years. Continuing my journey after marriage, I shifted base to the UK where I am currently based in Milton Keynes. Can’t wait to see where my adventure takes me next 🙂
I hope you enjoy trying out all the recipes I post here. Your feedback and suggestions are always welcome 🙂
